Amalfi Hand-Painted Small Serving Bowl in Verde by Piano Piano

The Amalfi Small Serving Bowl in Verde by Piano Piano is handcrafted and hand-painted in Italy, bringing the irregular brushwork and saturated color of traditional coastal ceramics to side dishes, fruit, bread, vegetables, or a smaller family-style course. Made as an individual piece rather than a perfectly uniform factory object, it is meant to show subtle variation from one example to the next.

“I love the useful smaller serving bowl in Verde because it carries color without making the table feel decorated. On the Amalfi Coast, hand-painted ceramics have passed through generations of makers; I like using that tradition in the most ordinary rituals, which is precisely how a craft stays alive.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Dishwasher and microwave safe. To preserve the hand-painted finish, avoid abrasive scrubbers and sudden temperature changes; allow a hot piece to cool before placing it in cold water. Stack and store with care so rims and painted surfaces are not knocked or rubbed unnecessarily.

Maker / Heritage

Piano Piano’s tableware is individually handcrafted and hand-painted by local Italian artisans on the Amalfi Coast. The wider ceramic tradition of Vietri sul Mare reaches back to the Renaissance, where clay, kiln work, color, and hand painting developed into a distinctive regional craft. Each Piano Piano piece retains the small variations that come with work finished by hand.
